Prior to founding Stonegate, Marc was a Principal with the Bridge Strategy Group. Marc also served as CEO of SiGenix Corporation and President of RAMM Global. His past experience also includes management consulting with both Ernst & Young LLP and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, and brand management with Procter & Gamble.
Marc received his Masters in Management from Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and his Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Michigan. Marc is a Board Member on Children's Memorial Foundation Board of Directors.
Mr. Boulis joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois in 1984 following eleven years with the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association in various management positions including Medicare, Utilization Review, Cost Containment Programs and Marketing Services. Prior to being named President of the Illinois Plan, he served as a Vice President and Senior Vice President of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois' National Division for 17 years, growing the company's national and major accounts business to include more than 450 large employer, government and labor customers.
Mr. Boulis has served on the board of directors of the Arts and Business Council of Chicago for 8 years, 4 of those as Chairman; he is a member of the boards of directors of Dental Network of America, Health Insurance Services Corporation and Fort Dearborn Life Insurance Company of New York and served several years on the board of Consortium Health Plans. He is a member of the Advisory Council of the Chicago Public Education Fund, an Executive Advisor to the Metropolitan Planning Council of Chicago and serves on the board of directors for the Griffith Leadership Center at the University of Michigan. He is a past member of the Associates Board of Directors of the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and the University of Michigan Program in Health Services Administration Alumni Association.
Mr. Boulis earned a B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Hospital Administration from the University of Michigan. Additionally he completed a one year CEO Perspective Fellowship at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
He has been a visiting lecturer at the University of Michigan, Rush University, Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and Colgate University.
Besides focusing on math, Gabe comes to Stonegate with a strong interest in economics and health care, having coauthored government reports on HIV interventions in India in 2008. At Stonegate, Gabe has helped design models of the Health Insurance Exchange, as well as other implications and results of health care reform.
In his spare time, Gabe is also a musician. When he was younger, he sang at the Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra with such names as Celine Dion and Enrique Iglesias.
Prior to joining Stonegate Advisors, Max was a Marketing Research Manager at Maritz Research where he managed large scale customer satisfaction tracking studies and was responsible for overseeing custom quantitative research studies. Max holds a BA from Columbia College.
Alok has also been a member of the healthcare consulting practices at Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young where he worked on a variety of engagements ranging from the strategic redesign and implementation of a Medicaid Prescription Drug Benefit to assisting hospitals maximize their reimbursement from Government programs. Prior to becoming a consultant, Alok worked as a Provider Relations Representative with United Healthcare of Ohio, where in addition to shaping and managing the provider network, he developed the credentialing criteria for podiatrists and chiropractors and helped the Plan develop its policies and procedures for NCQA accreditation. Alok received an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and an MPH from Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health in Atlanta. He also has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
Mike has spent his entire career in marketing research and the past 15 years with insurers.
His background includes assignments with Zurich, CNA and the American Hospital Association. Mike has been active in the Society of Insurance Research. Additionally, he earned a Masters of Arts in Political Science at Northern Illinois University where he also held a graduate assistantship teaching quantitative methods and maintaining the Department's computer laboratory.
